Security
(Dee Shipman
/ Herman Van Veen)
Lovely shower people said and smiled
As the flood curtained down from the sky
Then they began to drown
Except for a few
Who knew
Who to buy to keep dry
Faith won't move the smallest mountains now
What belief can't provide, money can
We comfortably exist
With rain on the brain
No pain, 'cos we don't give a damn!
The government holds elections
With just one party
They like security
But most of us can never make a choice
We know what to say
But seem to have lost our voice
Equal shares are not in fashion now
Thank God.!
He who bullshits will inherit all the bread
No need to earn your jam
If work is not your trip
You just rip somebody else off instead..........!
Sheer indifference alone prevails
In determining a current market price
In copper, tin or tea
With coffee or with coke
We are choking in a fool's paradise
The government holds elections
With just one party
They like security
But most of us can never make a choice
We know what to say
But seem to have lost our voice
God gave man a mind to rule the world
But he chooses to worry instead
About his loss of hair
And is his woman true?
He's screwed in his head
And his bed!
Processed, pampered by the welfare state
Social sops from the rich to the poor
So when you're in your box
And six feet below
You'll know that you're secure...........!
